Accessibility

This section of the website contains information on the accessibility of our web services. Wherever possible we are committed to making all our methods of communication as accessible to as many people as possible.

The 'accessibility strip' at the top of the website:
The 'accessibility strip' at the top of every page is designed to help site visitors with visual impairments and dyslexia. The colourways were chosen by what used to be the Disability Rights Commision (now the Equality and Human Rights Commission) following laboratory-based tests to establish the most useful colourways for people with dyslexia. They gave kind permission for us to replicate the same service on this website. We have deliberately chosen to implement the colour change on the main body of text only as it tends to be large blocks of text on screen that give rise to problems.
You can also enlarge the font, if you feel this does not cater to your needs, the Firefox browser offers excellent text size enhancement options.

Accessibility standards on this NAS website:
The site has been designed to comply wherever possible with Level AA conformance of the W3C's WAI accessibility guidelines and in accordance with RNIB recommendations.
